“Love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is done well.” -Vincent Van Gogh

Ah, can you feel it? Love is in the air! And, no, not just for all the couples but for the singles out there too. There’s no need to be in a romantic relationship to feel and spread the love. In keeping with our monthly themes, February seemed fitting for discussing all things love… and we sure are celebrating! This week’s blog is all about Valentine’s rituals for the attached and singles. There’s nothing like celebrating the thing that makes the world go ‘round!

How many of you love with intention? How many of you show yourself love to the same extent that you show your friends and family? How many of you know what it means to be present with your partner? Or even with yourself? If you feel like you’re missing the mark on some of these questions, not to worry! We’re all guilty of some, if not all of these, from time to time. Here are some simple (cost effective) rituals to treat yourself and your partner to some TLC.

Love / Date yourself:

  • Movie night. Host a viewing party for yourself (or invite some friends). Take requests on what everyone would enjoy watching
  • Spend the night with no technology…Live by candlelight and create your own music
  • Treat yourself like a celebrity. Setup an in-home spa and pamper away!
  • Refocus your current relationships. What do you want more or less of?
  • Invite some of your best friends over and have a game night
  • Bake some treats for yourself
  • Open up your Heart Chakra

Date your partner:

  • Make a gratitude list for one another
  • Play the newlywed game…even if you’re not married. It’s a great way to learn more about one another
  • Relive your first date
  • Put on some music and cook together
  • Spend the night with no technology…Live by candlelight and create your own music
  • Learn each other’s love languages https://www.5lovelanguages.com/quizzes/
  • Have a game night

The list could go on and on. Maybe you’re looking for ways to engage your senses into feeling more loving and connected. Scent can be powerful and engaging. Try Rose, Ylang Ylang, Sandalwood, Grapefruit or Clary Sage to instantly feel more open to giving and receiving love. For those interested in the healing properties of crystals, try Rose Quartz, Sunstone, Jasper or Moonstone to bring kindness, love and compassion. Make it fun, make it sweet…but whatever you do fill your world with love!

With gratitude,

Kate
